Handcrafted with dovetail burnished metal joints, This rustic container, was made over a hundred years ago to measure and hold a dou of rice, an ancient Chinese measurement.

The surface is smooth, worn and tactile and has developed over the years with daily use.

Makes for a perfect fireside container.
